We are very pleased to announce that we will officially be continuing our relationship with our Chosen Charity, York Mind through 2017.

About York Mind

We began supporting York Mind back in August 2015 and have continued to be impressed by the fantastic work they do.

1 in 4 people in the UK will experience mental ill health every year and public services struggle to provide timely, specialist and consistent care to everyone in need. York Mind do increasingly vital work, providing high quality mental health services to people living in and around York.

Independently run and funded, York Mind work with clients of all ages and backgrounds, aiding progression towards recovery, improving health, relationships, and employment and learning opportunities. Their services include group support, talking therapies, advice and advocacy, as well as working to raise awareness and fight stigma around mental illness.

Working Together

One significant reason (aside from the important work they do, of course) that contributed towards our decision to re-select York Mind was simply how easy - and fun -  it is to work with them. York Mind offer flexible, personal support to their corporate supporters, providing us with plenty of ideas and opportunities to get involved.

We’ve taken part in fundraising events such as The York Little Music Festival, packed bags at Sainsbury’s, whipped up and entirely* blue lunch, ran The York 10k, sold raffle tickets at their annual Winter Concert, and we’ve donated our graphic design skills. We’ve really enjoyed working with York Mind and are looking forward to helping in some new and exciting ways this year (and we’ll most likely be getting our running shoes out again too).

*well, mostly.

York Mind is a registered charity no 1006759. For more information about the work they do and how you or your company can get involved, visit www.yorkmind.org.uk, find them on facebook.com/MindYork or Twitter @TheYorkMind.
